Where It Comes From

Direct from origin

DanexGen works directly with trusted growers and mills to source matcha for professional beverage programs.

Our premium Japanese matcha collection includes selections from renowned growing regions such as Uji and Kagoshima. Hinata and Kiwami are sourced from Hangzhou.

The process shown below is how our Japanese tiers are made.

Hand-picking tea leaves in a shade-grown field
Hand-picked in Uji
Steaming freshly picked tea leaves
Steamed within hours of picking
Tasting and evaluating matcha for quality
Tasted and graded before it ships

Matcha isn't a color you add to a menu board. Done right, it's smooth, vibrant, and balanced, and all three come from where the leaves grew, how long they were shaded, and how finely they were ground.

Build your matcha program

Whether you're building your first matcha latte or sourcing for multiple locations, DanexGen can help you select the right grade for your menu and volume.
